The app

Realm of Tread reads your step count from Apple Health and, while the app is open, from your iPhone’s motion sensor, to decide which card you have earned. Those numbers are used on your device and are never sent anywhere. The app has no network code, no accounts, no analytics and no advertising. Your cards, your goal and your reminder settings live on your phone.

Health data is never shared with anyone, which is both our intent and a condition of using Apple Health at all. You can revoke the app’s access at any time in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.

This website

The site counts visits so we know whether anyone is reading it. That is done on our own server. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, and no third party involved.

What a visit records:

• the page you looked at, and whether you tapped the App Store button
• which link brought you here, so we know which post worked
• a random identifier kept in your browser, to tell a returning visit from a new one
• your browser’s user agent, and a one-way hash of your IP address

No cookies, no cross-site tracking, and nothing that identifies you. The random identifier is generated in your browser and belongs only to this domain; clearing site data resets it.
